    WHERE SHOULD I INSTALL MY LITREK BATTERY?
    Anywhere your battery can be safely secured. Under your tray, in you canopy or in the engine bay (away from heat sources). Preference should be given to areas outside the passenger cabin.
  • DO I HAVE TO MOUNT THE BATTERIES UPRIGHT?
    No, LiTrek batteries can be mounted in any position.
  • CAN I MOUNT MY LITREK BATTERY UNDER MY BONNET?
    Sure, provided it’s kept away from heat sources near the engine such as the exhaust or turbo and kept within its operating temperature range of 60°C
  • DO I NEED TO INSTALL MY BATTERY IN A VENTILATED AREA?
    If your battery is installed within the confines of an habitable space (caravan, camper, RV) then yes, it must be installed in a separate compartment from a habitable area to be able to vent to the outside atmosphere in the event of venting.. All lithium batteries installed in caravans and campers are subject to AS/NZS 3001.2:2022. If your battery is installed in your 4X4 but you do not sleep inside the cabin, then you are free to mount the battery within the cabin. Best practice is to mount the battery outside of the cabin.
  • I WANT TO MOUNT MY BATTERY IN/UNDER MY TRAY OR OUTSIDE MY CABIN, IS THAT SAFE?
    Yes! The battery is certified IP67. The battery is sealed from dust and water(to a depth of 1M for 30 minutes) so it'll cop whatever you throw at it!

    HOW DO I CHARGE MY LITREK BATTERY?
    LiTrek batteries are lithium iron phosphate batteries - so a charger with a lithium profile is required.
  • CAN I CHARGE MY BATTERY WITH SOLAR?
    To Charge your battery using your solar panels you need a charger that features an MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) solar regulator.
  • I ALREADY HAVE A CHARGER, DO I NEED A DIFFERENT CHARGER FOR MY LITREK BATTERY?
    Lithium batteries require a charger specifically programmed to charge them correctly. A charger programmed for lead acid or AGM batteries will not allow you to get the best performance from your new battery.

    We aim to ship all orders within one business day. You’ll receive a tracking number once your order is shipped.
  • HOW DO I TRACK MY ORDER?
    All our batteries are shipped with tracking, check your email for your tracking number and visit the link provided. If you’ve not received an email, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help!
  • HOW DO I CANCEL MY ORDER?
    Get in touch with us via the contact us link at the bottom of the page. Please note, we cannot cancel orders or accept returns on orders that have been shipped.

    WHAT IS THE WARRANTY PERIOD?

  • WHAT IS THE WARRANTY PERIOD?HOW DO I MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM?
    Visit our warranty page and follow the link. If you're having trouble with your battery and we're unable to resolve the problem remotely, we might ask you to return your battery to be inspected. Instructions vary region by region, we'll give you instructions via email.

    WHAT SIZE OF INVERTER CAN THE LITREK BATTERY SUPPORT?
    The battery is rated to a continuous discharge for 200A so there’s nothing stopping you from running 2400W loads such as your microwave, air conditioner or coffee machine. Keep in mind that the higher the discharge current the lower the realised capacity for that cycle.
  • CAN I CONNECT LITREK BATTERIES IN PARALLEL?
    Yes, provided the batteries are of a similar usage condition and connected at the same voltage, you can connect multiple batteries in parallel.
  • CAN I CONNECT LITREK BATTERIES IN SERIES?
    You can connect up to four LiTrek batteries in series, as long as the TrekNet interface is connected to all batteries.
  • CAN I ADD A BATTERY AT A LATER POINT TO INCREASE MY CAPACITY?
    Some manufacturers support this however it’s not safe long-term. Lithium batteries degrade differently over time which could lead to a charger trying to overcharge an older battery.

    IS THIS BATTERY SERVICEABLE? WHY?
    Yep! LiTrek designed the batteries so that should cells,BMS or other components experience an unlikely malfunction, we can simply repair or replace the component. This is a unique feature as we can avoid scraping a whole battery where other manufacturers discard it. Learn more about our servicing on our sustainability page!
